1953
Taito was founded by Michael Kogan, a Russian jew, who was born in Odessa. His family moved from Russia to China after the communist revolution, Michael studied during the war in Japan, after the communist take over in 1947 the family spread out in the pacific area. Michael opted for Japan and started Taito Trading.
Its first business ventures were importing various goods, brewing and selling the first domestic Japanese Vodka (excellent!) and manufacturing and selling a small peanut vending machine.

1954
Starts leasing jukeboxs.

1956
Develops own domestic jukebox, and starts the sale of amusement equipment and lease business.

1962
Acquires the domestic selling agent right of the American Wurlitzer corporation jukebox.

1963
Establishs a subsidiary company and the Pacific industrial corporation which is designated to plan for the future, including development and production for the company.

1966
The subsidiary company and the Daiei commercial matters corporation established.

1970
Receives a commendation for export contribution enterprise from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

1971
Purchases the Japanese dispenser corporation to strengthen its position in the amusment industry.

1972
Modifies Company name.

1973
The new head office company building is completed (Tokyo Chiyoda Ku flat river town).

1978
Space Invaders released, this caused a documented Yen shortage in Tokyo and throughout Japan. At the time Taito had a bigger turnover than Honda!

1979
In order to keep up with demand Taito starts construction of larger factorys at the metropole.
Also new factory construsted in Ebina city (Kanagawa prefecture) as a production foothold, and plans made for the Cord Island factory.

1985
Starts manufacturing karaoke equipment for business.

1986
Becomes one member of the capital ceramic group with capital participation of the Kyocera corporation.
Subsidiary company Pacific industrial corporation and the Japanese dispenser corporation merger.

1988
35th anniversary!

1992
Starts the production and sale of the karaoke system X2000 for business which utilizes the Integratted Services Digital Network communications network.

1993
Second section Floated on the Tokyo stock exchange.

1995
Starts the production of the communication karaoke system X for home.

1996
In Peking city, establishs the merger of subsidiary company Peking Yasushi Makoto cultural amusement limited, which handles amusement facility management and equipment sale.

1997
Lets go by train released to enourmous popularity.

1999
Acquires the certification of the international quality guarantee standard ISO9001 for the first time as an amusement equipment production system for business.
Acquire the certification of the environmental management system international environmental standard ISO14001 in the Ebina factory.

2000
Strengthens the network service by merging with the the capital ceramic multimedia corporation.
